The Mingei

At the Mingei, students gain a richer appreciation for the role of crafts in society by creating projects inspired by global cultural techniques and materials, linking to their own cultural, family, and personal stories. Students in grade 3 are introduced to the ancient art of papermaking, creating their own paper designs, while fourth graders focus on quilting traditions, crafting pieces that reflect both worldwide influences and personal narratives.
